    WHEN: July 31, 2010 -- 3:30 PM departure
    WHERE: 62nd & the Monon Trail --> 131st & the Monon Trail (Bub's Burgers)
WHY: Because it's summer, and bicycling is fun.

This event is rain or shine. We will leave from 62nd and the Monon Trail at 3:30 PM heading north. We will ride to 131st street to have dinner at Bub's. The Monon is technically a City park, which means Firearms are prohibited by city ordinance.

After some good eats, we'll ride back to our cars.

Please RSVP so I know how many to expect so I can warn Bub's

How exciting it would be for one of the 'monon bicyclist attackers' to choose this group!

    *ahem*
This group who will be without guns for the duration that they are on the Monon, right?
    *ahem*

Of course, flashlights, knives, tire irons, and baseball bats are still acceptable.

ETA: I'm also wondering if I should have a rescue vehicle available should anyone attempt to eat a Big Ugly and then ride his or her bike back the 7 miles to his or her car. *hmm*

If there's a need, we can discuss parking one or two cars with bike racks near Bub's for folks that can't / won't be able to ride the additional 7 miles back to 62nd.

This is an INGO event, and you can't even carry? Does this make any sense? :dunno:

Of course, if I'm free that day, I'll be there! :D I'll let ya know as soon as I find out. This should be fun!

I'd come, but I've gotta get some work on my car this weekend so I can get it back on the road. Plus my bike needs both tire tubes replaced. Maybe next time.

    This would be GREAT!

But my bike doesn't have tires. Or wheels. Or brakes. Or Gears. Or a seat. Or seat post... etc etc.

    One of these days!

So far I have Pami, Lars, Kira, Que, Gage, likely two guys from where I work,
Who have I missed? Who else wants to come :)

Is this a family outing? I know I'm inviting my wife, but I want to make sure it's cool for kids to come.

Yup. If Pami doesn't take Kira directly to Bubs, I'll be towing her in a trailer behind my Trucker :) PM me with a count and I'll add +57 to the back of your name.... or maybe just +3 as necessary :)

Kira just turned 1 in June, so .. um.. yeah. ;)

It IS a 7 mile ride, though, so be sure your kids have their helmets and that they're up to the challenge (or that Mom & Dad are up to pulling them along in the carrier).

If you or anyone would like to borrow a bike I have an extra one. It is a larger frame fit for ~6.5 ft tall person. But in great condition. I live near the meet up spot (Keystone and Kessler) so you could park there and ride a little further...
