Hey every one. Just signed up here tonight. Was a long time Glock owner( G26) and wanted to get a larger gun. I went with the Sig P250 . Having second thought , may ditch this and go back to a Glock...23 or 19.

Please don't judge sig based only on a 250. Sell it and go get a real sig. If your gonna carry and want a .45 get a p220 compact. If you want a 9mm or 40 go grab a p239 and throw some hogue grips on it. You won't ever look back :)

    What he said!

sig also makes a very good 1911 and I hear a lot of people like the 2022.

I bought my first semi auto Glock 22 many, many years ago and I have been happy ever since. I bought a Sig P6 last year and it shoots great. It is a single stack and the trigger pull is a little different but great gun for the price none the less. Now I know why people argue over who makes the better pistol.

So you like both? But what one better?

The Glock is a full size double stack making it hard to carry without looking like John Wayne. The frame is polymer and the only safety is the little piece on the trigger. The finish is very durable and they are cheap to hot rod. The Sig is a single stack making it thinner, metal frame, and has a decocker safety. I bought my Glock first and I still carry it and love it. I bought my Sig as a back up just in case. I think I have 2 of the best end of the world sidearms I could afford

Sigs are nice guns, but if you care about size, weight and capacity for carry purposes, they can't compete with Glocks. The P239 is a pig for a single stack gun, wider in the grip and heavier than a compact Glock 19 or 23, with about half the capacity. Sig's finish is not as durable as Glock's tenifer process, and the transition from DA to SA firing is annoying (to me) in a defensive weapon.

I've owned a P229 in the past, and while certainly a nice and reliable pistol, it doesn't hold a candle to a Glock 23 in the areas that matter to me for a daily defensive carry weapon. I might pick up another one day, but only as a spare desk drawer/home defense gun.

I have also owned a P250. Never again.

I opened this thread thinking, "as long as it's not a 250, you're good." The 2022 is an outstanding polymer Sig. I love my 228(s) with an unnatural passion and the 226 is a gold standard, full-size double-stack 9mm. Heck, I even love the other Sig stepchild- the P290.

    The 250? No thanks.

oh well lesson learned. I liked the lok of the p250 when i saw it at the store , not knowing what i was about to buy....I dont really regret it as I learned something about the gun. If I lose some $$$ on it then so be it.......now on the hunt for the G19 or 23...

    thx everyone!

This. I know a guy whose first and only experience with a Sig was an early Mosquito. He swears all Sigs are paperweights because one bad experience with a GSG-made gun that had Sig stamped on the side. I tried to tell him that was like swearing off 1911s because he had a bad Puma 1911-22.

    Love my 220, 226, 228, and 229. Had a 2022, but traded it.

I have used SIG P220's and 228's for over 20 years as well as Glocks, Beretta and revolvers. No offense to the SIG P250 owners out there the 250's are not bad guns but they do not compare to the original SIG 220, 226,228,229 family for me.
