    Ok so I feel like an Idiot. After some thorough cleaning the scratches turned out to be scuff marks or something that came off. The finish is fine. Spent the day shooting with some friends up in Wabash, had lots of visitors with some nice toys so I got to shoot quite a bit more. The XDM performed great, I am 100% happy my only regret is that I can not find a good IWB holster for it yet. I love my crossbreed for my 1911, so I might just wait till they come up with one.

    Did they discontinue the standard XD series then? I wonder how that tighter match barrel would do in the torture test.

    My xd9sc in stainless I bought 3 months ago is showing minor slide/holster wear. I think its the kydex holsters sharper edges that it scrapes against.

    I love my gun and hate to scuff it but that is what its made for.
