I think Trump has done a fine job & everything he promised 4 years ago while being hated & abused daily taking more BS than any president in history while donating his salary to charity so he truly does it because he loves America. I watched interviews from the late '70s & he wanted the same thing for America then. I can't believe anyone owning a firearm would vote Biden/Harris but that's your choice. I've made mine & refuse to be a solialist, communist or subject to those partys. One good thing is the Dems have laid their cards on the table & we all know what they believe & stand for. Okay fine, but can we wait until after December 31st, 2026? (When I'll be retiring) :):

We have to have the swamp drained by 2024

Well if it can't be done by 2024, how about a slogan for the 2024 election ...

Wow, this is a lot to try to respond to when you believe that communist/socialist ideals aren't actually communist/socialist ideals.

Everyone in a free society should have access to healthcare. That doesn't mean that they should actually receive health care. People should be free to contract with insurers, wherever they may be located in these United States, to provide services at rates they are willing to contract for. Do you see the difference? If they can't afford the health care they need, well that's a different issue from whether or not the health care is available to them. This notion that health care should be tied to an employer, or to the government, fails the test of what should occur in a truly free society. To the contrary, government interference in the health care and health insurance industry has created the problems we face right now.

And minimum wage, if not total control of industry, is overt control over industry. Shouldn't skills versus demand for those skills set the rate? That's capitalism. Don't posit the "living wage" concept, because that is just more socialist/communist propaganda. People should be paid for the value they provide. Nothing more, nothing less, and that should be a negotiation between the employer and the employee, and no one else.

Your last point, "Gun bans aren't socialist either", is either laughable or tragic. The best way to begin the transition to a socialist/communist rule is to disarm the people. There is no other valid reason to do so in a free society. A government cannot exert control over a populace that has the means to resist them physically. It's rule number one in any authoritarian takeover, and it's always done under the guise of providing "safety" and "security" to the people, when really it provides safety and security to the oppressive regime. I'm actually saddened that I have to explain this to someone on a Second Amendment centric forum, when so many historical and recent examples are extant.

    well said!
ive mentioned before, when I ran a large crew in construction there was a constant complaint. I would have guys crying that someone else was making .25 to .50 more per hour than he was and “I do twice the work”.... blah, blah, blah!
I told each the same thing. “You made your deal with the boss the day you were hired! He made his deal! You make a new deal every time you ask for a raise! Maybe the other guy was a better bullsitter!?”
And off topic... my dad told me when I was very young, it’s nobody else’s business what you earn! It’s not your business what they earn! That was something you just didn’t discuss.

I think Bullsitters probably shouldn’t make a lot of money. I don’t really see much value with that occupation.

    .
President Trump is not and never has been a politician. He's a guy who has spent his entire life running a business, mostly from the top. This aspect of him is both his greatest strength and his greatest weakness in his present job.

Really good article on being "red-pilled"

I am seeing people I love and want to continue to respect breaking bad in real time. I now understand in a visceral way the slippery slope that led to the Cultural Revolution and the Holocaust. Starting with dehumanization, progress incrementally to greater levels of political violence and desire to harm those who are not in the same tribe.

This is why, paradoxically, I am voting Trump.

This brings me to how I began to see conservatives favorably. My article drew a lot of hate. I had anxiety posting it, and spent four months making sure I got it RIGHT. I could only envision what I was going to lose when I hit publish. I knew the reaction would not be good, but I did not yet know the full cost. Or that a whole new world was about to open up for me.
One thing I never imagined is that it became a catalyst for meeting local conservatives and finding they were great! Tolerant, fun loving, open to discourse — all the things I no longer saw in the left. I did conservative talk radio KVI with John Carlson a few times and was treated with respect. I was invited to the big Republican fundraiser this February, the Lincoln Day Dinner.

I went prepared to catalog the hate I encountered. Instead, I had a GREAT time! I witnessed no hate, only love. Trust me, the left had trained me to find it but it just was not there. I was shocked. I was wrong. Again.

The speaker was the electrifying Brandon Straka of the #WalkAway movement. He got a standing ovation. A gay man. My mind was blown! I immediately saw how powerful Brandon is, and why they work to dismiss him. I was ready to #WalkAway myself, but I was not ready for Trump to be my “daddy.”

I shared my experience of the night on Facebook, linking to Brandon’s video, and reporting on my lived experience of going into the belly of the Republican beast. I mean, there was a Trump cutout, and a GUN in the silent auction. A MAN pulled my chair out for me. We said the pledge of allegiance. The horror!

The reaction from my friends was not positive. No one was happy I was dismantling my bigotry. The struggle sessions began. My character was put on trial for daring to associate with conservatives and worse, saying nice things about them. THIS WAS WHERE ALL THE HATE WAS. From people who allegedly liked me and were on my side. It could not be starker.

So, that was the same thing others found when they started checking out "the right".
Then their "friends" started acting like that, which ironically, further pushed them out of the left.

Same as friends discussing things with friends instead of being within controlled political indoctrination.

Revised: When typing I had left "r" out of friends and made it "fiends".:)
