Went out and tried to shoot my German k98 and it wont fire every shot there is the firing pin indentation but no bang. I was using Yugo ammo and ive been told that its good food for it so I dont really think it is ammo related. Can you adjust the firing pin depth like on the mosins. Whats your :twocents: on what it could be and what should be done to fix it

Pics of the firing pin indentation? If it's good and firm, no problems with the rifle. Whoever told you Yugo ammo was "good food" is crazed. Both my Mausers had issues with the Yugo stuff, hit no bang. Lots of reviews online have many stories of the 8mm yugoslavian ammo being spotty in ignition.

I agree also, I've had spotty luck shooting the Yugo ammo. It's cheap for a reason sadly. Sometimes they go bang the second time around. Get some quality ammo and see how she works!
