I'm hopeful, but from what I've read from the link, it sounds like the new American built AK will have to be built with no Russian expertise. If the quality is up to snuff, I'll probably pick one up but I'm not going to be first in line. I'll wait to see if it's a quality built AK and not just a cheap knock off but with the roll marks of a real AK. I don't know if RWC is just an importer of Russian AKs or if they have any real engineering experience behind them. An enthusiastic importer and a quality manufacturer are not necessarily the same thing.

A friend just sent me a picture from the KC booth. Close examination yields no picture of an SVD or Vityaz. It looked mostly like S12's, an RPK, some unconverted saigas in multiple flavors, and some woody Veprs. I asked for closer pics but this guy is an extreme dickhead and won't do it. I hope he reads this.
