Is there a Kel-Tec you must have? I look at Kel-Tec as a Hi-Point deluxe with some quality. For me, I wouldn't mind having one but nothing really stands out. What Kel-Tec, if any, is more than a throwaway? Thanks.

I own four Kel-Tecs and none are throwaways any more than my Glocks, Smiths, Walthers or any other of my guns. As far as being a Hi-point deluxe, you are way off in my opinion.

I meant that half-joking. However name me the brands in-between? They're maybe one name. But generally once you leave Hi-Point. Where's the next stop? Jennings (about the same), Diamondback, Kel-Tec? Again that's not a slam, just an observation.

They're producing a whole bunch of innovative desirable products.

KSG - Dual feed bull pup shotgun
P3AT - A big time gun maker liked it enough to copy it (Ruger - LCP)
    PF9 - Ditto (Ruger - LC9)
    PMR-30 - 22mag in a semi auto
Sub2k - affordable fold up carbine that accepts glock mags
RFB - bull pup .308 semi auto

Lots of good things. Not enough production of them though.

Great list Bob. Yeah the Keltec Sub 2000 is something I've considered. As far as pistols, all of these have an audience. Some would say the LCP is an improvement (if only just) over the P3AT. I'd put Ruger in the same boat if perhaps slightly higher.

One that actually works. One that you don't have to spend time finishing
    the gun for them.
Naw, they don't make one like that.

The PMR30 is the one I'm thinking about but strictly as a range toy. I haven't found a Kel-Tec that can get years and years of service, that I won't need to replace in 5-10 years.

Well they offer different models, I believe the two bottom ones are NFA.
I didn't know the standard KSG was right at the legal lenght.Like I said im not gun expert. :D

Ah, correct. I didn't know they made short ones now. Bottom 2 are definitly SBSs and not legal in Indiana even with a stamp.

Waiting to see when they will release the RMR-30 rifle that uses the PMR-30 magzine. The rifle is a 16 inch barrel with a folding stock and last I heard, may be coming out around christmas. Been waiting for two years for the release of the rifle.
