    Long story ,short .
I've had my Kershaw knife (1670tblkst) since Nov of 08 . Its always in my pocket . Screwdriver, small hammer , splinter getter , cheese cutter , hog skinner ect .
The torsion bar for the speed assist broke about 2 weeks ago .
Contacted Kershaw via email on the 30th of Oct.
My FREE replacement part was in the mail box today 4-Nov .
They even sent me an email telling me the torx screw sizes to take it apart .
Nice to see some old school customer service.

Kershaw does have good service. I have that same knife, had to get a pocket clip for it. Glad it worked out.

I have a Kershaw fixed blade and stamped Japan at the base. I bought it 30 years ago. I broke about 1/16th off the tip cleaning a deer. I always wondered if I sent it to them if they could regrind to remove enough material to get rid of that chip. I replaced it with a buck vanguard I bought at Galyans. It has field dressed many deer over the years
