    I have a smaller kershaw...don't remember the model right off but it flips open easier than my zing. But I've found with the zing, if I add the slightest flick of my wrist to the pressure on the "flipper thingy on the back" (I apologize if the technical jargon is hard to follow), it opens perfectly.

    I thought "flipper thingy" was pretty descriptive though, and I'm sure I saw that terminology used in the instruction manual. :rockwoot:

    :): "flipper thingy"....."extended tang"....does not matter to me as long as we know what is being described. I like "flipper thingy", but I don't think the knife industry is going to use it any time soon. :):
