    very good, doug!

there isn't a window breaker though.... the bumps on the end of the handle would be a swell, similar to a kukri. during chopping, the front choil wouldn't be used. you would slip your hand to the very rear of the blade, using the swell as a hand stop. as to the pinkie finger groove, it would work fine, but its not something i typically incorperate, not because of function, but for ME personally, they make chopping uncomfortable.

blade length would probly be around 7-7.5".

Thickness? Planning a "sharpened prybar", or slicer too?

Steel? Nothing wrong with 1095, 52-100. I believe the next item is more important.

Heat treat- I am no metalurgist, so give it a good edge quench, a flexible spine.

i think for something like this would be great in 1095, coated. on a knife for me, personally, i would use 3/16" with a full flat grind. i wouldn't put to much of a distal taper to it, but it would be ground to be a good to great slicer, but not thin enough to tempt damage from chopping chores.

i'm surprised no one has jumped on board to put up a design they think would be cool!?
