So it is true about Strider huh? Not just an Aprils fools joke?

You are correct, smart money is on Duane finally cashing out and Mick taking over. From how is seems to be shaping up Josh Lee is still supervising the "production" stuff but Mick will now have more oversight. I would really like to see more designs in the production stuff as I will be honest Mick's Jibble and SJ75 are some of the most ergonomic knives ever made.

Thought the SJ75 was a cool design but a friend had one and it felt super cheap. Even had lock rock as a decently new knife. Don't know if it was a bad batch or what but just seemed very un=strider

Was never a Strider person, but have to admit that Jibble is pretty bad ass

YES, the company "Strider Knives Inc." is ending.

NO, this is not a joke, prank, or rumor.

YES, The Strider warranty is still valid... Repairs will now be handled at the MSC (Mick Strider Custom) facility.

YES, there will still be future regular production "Strider Knives" made under the MSC Classic Line.

YES, Duane Dwyer (DDC) will continue making custom knives in his own shop.

Finally, this is not about "cashing out". SKI is being dissolved, nothing is being sold, and even Mick will not be taking over, own or using the SKI name.

Here is my first attempt at knife making. Just a big burly ugly beast made from mystery steel, but I was able to learn quite a bit for the next one. Just used an angle grinder and file. Made an attempt as heat treating and I think it actually ended up halfway decent. Got it sharp enough to shave my arm hair so I'm actually pretty happy for this being my first try.

Here is my second creation. This time with a known steel - 1095. 1/8" thick. I just used a couple scraps of plywood for the scales. I've gotten it razor sharp also. Getting a little more sophisticated as I go.

I stopped into this custom shop while in Alaska. I saw this before it was etched & done. I could tell it was going to look nice & was able to get 1st dibs on this baby.

Fresh out of the acid etch. 5 1/2" Cable/L6 Damascus camp knife. Cable is from an old coal mine up by Healy Alaska.

Pics from book of face sorry:

Well BUMMER! My blade maker only got 2nd place on Forged in Fire. The way he talked about the show I could tell he was probably into the final 1 on 1 round but didn't know how it turned out. The blacksmiths are not given much time at all to complete the final project & he just ran out of time.

I missed it live on History Channel but just watch online.

I loved my Leek (I have a couple) but started carrying tip up and now can't go back. It just feels weird now. I wish I could flip the Kershaw clip.
