I'll more than likely hit the Kokomo show Sunday afternoon. I'll probably be at Fort Wayne on Saturday...

I will be attending Saturday. Look for the goofy Korean Hillbilly. I am not setting up but strolling the aisles...

I would enjoy meeting a goofy Korean Hillbilly someday!

Since Brad and his crack . . . er . . . meth . . . uh . . . knives will be in Ft. Wayne, I probably won't make the trip to Omokok this time. My checkbook is relieved!

Just returned from the show. Now I remember why I quit going, three years ago. $450 Hi Point carbines, $200 fake Leupold scopes, BO and crop dusting galore.

One vendor did have new Colt 30 rnd AR mags for $8 each or three for $20. Got to talk to Other Dave. That was the highlight. Other than that, prices were stupid high.

Show was far less crowded than Fort Wayne. Was only able to find one rifle I was interested in, but the guy didn't take credit cards. Hoping he will have it at the next show.

Got set of Ruger rings from FAL parts guy (obnoxious old fart he is).
Jeff White was there so got a sheath for a knife I bought previously.

All I was after, pretty much ignored anything else (quick look in one pass for possible other rings/scopes and old ammo- WW Supermax .22LR or old Expert 20 ga 6 and 7 1/2)

    Nope.

Saw some of the gang, evidently missed most of them ;)

Cost me $5 to avoid the fam for an hour...........been cooped up with them for a week.
    Consider the escape a bargain.

I need a Ruger Alex Henry forearm.
Will be looking for that at the 1500.
Score one and no need for any gunshow activity past that.

I sure do miss the old Bill Goodman shows :(

I also miss them. Gun shows in the 80's used to be a lot of fun. The 90's were also fun, when all the C&R stuff was coming into the country dirt cheap. Now, it's a never-ending hoarding stampede, scared of new restrictions that may be around the corner.

Boy does that name bring back good memories!

Like SnoopLoggyDog said, the shows of the 80s and 90s were a lot of fun. Many were part shows which was nice, and the C&R and similar old military stuff was coming in was nice. Between the old stuff drying up since supplies were limited, bans on imports and bans of firearms by name, added to the rampant and continuous fear, shows just aren't that fun anymore.

Question for other dave. I am new around here so please forgive me for my lack of knowing this forum's participants backgrounds and habits. What, if any, is the meaning of your avatar?

Please don't read anything more into this than a simple question to gain knowledge as I am not "hip" to some of these very graphic symbols.

I'm definitely not other dave, but I take the avatar as a bit of a joke. It contains all of the symbols that offended people last year (the rainbow, the Confederate flag, etc.)
