Okay maybe I am weird, (or maybe it's because I have too many Berettas). or perhaps I am just a wisearse..

But I thought it would be interesting to label all my Ammo cans with obscure names for the Caliber.

So I have.. from smallest to largest,

    22 RF
    7.65 Browning
    9MM Corto/Scurt
    9MM Parabellum
    16 Bore
    12 Bore

The I have my US calibers marked
    Cartridge, Caliber .45, Pistol
    Cartridge, Caliber .30, Carbine
    Cartridge, Caliber 5.56 mm
    Cartridge, Caliber 7.62 mm
    Cartridge, Caliber .30, Rifle
Grenade, Rifle, 22MM (Before someone freaks out, these are ALL parachute flares! or dummy trainers, but still considered by the Army as part of the assortment of Rifle grenades)

I guess I started doing this because the wife wanted to shoot one of my smaller Berettas and went into the old coal bin (yes a COAL BIN, my house is that old that it had a coal bin) where the ammo storage is and asked me. Hey where the hell is the 7.65 Browning?

But I am sure if anyone else went in there, the first words out of their mouth is. What the hell is 7.65 Browning?

    not lost, wandering...
A flammable cabinet is nice for powder/ammo storage. Fewer ammo cans needed & everything readily visible in original boxes. CDO requires a separate shelf for SG, rifle, & handgun, then label the shelf, in descending caliber left to right. lol

My line of thought is that labeling is not only for me, but to help someone else, should they need to be able to identify some of this stuff without me. I need to get to labeling and organizing ammo a bit more. I have labeled the firearms that I may store in boxes besides the one they came in (i.e. they came in cardboard and I am storing them in the safe in a plastic box for example).
