Obviously its not loaded, but anyone notice it looks like he is holding it by the trigger? Maybe he should promote some gun safety...? I imagine the gun was brought in by some agency for their little presentation, so that makes it ok.

Edit: I guess after reading the comments, others did notice the thumb on trigger.

Everyone knows you can't fire a gun with your thumb. Sheesh you gotta use your trigger finger.
    Oh great....
Now some idiot Democrat in Congress will read that and try to have our trigger fingers removed.
The Constitution gives us the Right To Bear Arms.
    Not fingers.

his thumb was there to prevent the gun from killing people in it's own, kinda like a choke hold on a vicious killer.

This was the Virginia State House. He informed police and security of what he was going to do, and was allowed in.

The funnier bit is the point of order from one of the republicans "Point of Order! Would the gentleman please remove his finger from the trigger guard?"

Thumb on the trigger? The barrel wasn't by chance in his mouth was it?

"A lot of people don't know that in many locations in the commonwealth, you can take this gun, you can walk in the middle of Main Street loaded and not be in violation of the law," Morrissey said on the floor...

    What a joke.

Why don't they just laugh these guys right out of the building?

Trying to figure out when a MAK-90 became an "AK-47" since Bush the First made sure MAK-90s aren't evil.
The Dems, being the shallow creatures that they are, still, to this day, judge by looks instead of actions.
Like how they judged Black People when they enacted the Jim Crow Laws in the South after The Civil War.
