Anybody know what the heck is going on?!?!? :dunno:

They've got Franklin Rd. from the park North to 56th St. blocked and the park is packed with cops and ambulances. A helicopter w/spotlight is searching the area. :n00b:

    I'm assuming another shooting.

    EDIT

[For the sake of disclosure, I listed some lyrics from "Uneasy Rider" in reference to the unknown reason for choppers hovering over Lawrence. Once details unfolded and the problem was a shooting and a child was involved - I removed it.]

Two women shot and one child shot in the head. :n00b:

    All apparently were Hispanic.

Still wanna chuckle it up?? :ugh:

Sad situation. Without knowing details again, yet I might make a joke about choppers. Making light of murder and death of a child? - that's not a joking matter.

    All in context and chronology.

Girl, 2, is shot at Lawrence wedding reception; 3 suspects arrested | IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star

Three people were shot Saturday night, including a 2-year-old girl, at a wedding reception in a rental facility in Lawrence Community Park, police said.
Lawrence police said the child was seriously injured with a bullet wound to the head.

The girl and two women, both of whom suffered leg wounds, were taken to Methodist Hospital.
Police said a dispute erupted during the reception, leading to the gunfire.
Three suspects were arrested a short time later, said Lawrence Police Chief Paul Whitehead.
A handgun believed used in the shootings was found beneath a vehicle near the facility, 5301 N. Franklin Road, police said.
Police did not disclose late Saturday if there was more than one gunman or what preliminary charges the three suspects faced.
Whitehead and Lawrence Mayor Paul Ricketts arrived at the scene shortly after the shootings, which occurred about 10 p.m.
Police did not immediately release names of the wounded or those arrested. Investigators called for interpreters to help in the investigation because the witnesses speak only Spanish fluently.
The 2-year-old is the second child to be shot in Marion County in four days.
Jeremiah Williams, 8, was fatally shot Wednesday night at a Northeastside Indianapolis apartment.
Indianapolis police said they think the boy was accidentally shot in the head during a domestic argument between a man and a woman at an apartment in the Hearts Landing complex in the 4300 block of Wittfied Street.
Joshua D. Germany was arrested in the shooting and faces a preliminary charge of murder.
Namar Taylor, 18, who was visiting the apartment, also was shot and is recovering at Wishard Memorial Hospital.

Indianapolis - Metro police are investigating a series of shootings near IMS overnight that left one person dead and several others wounded.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Somerset shortly before 3 a.m., where they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A second man at that location was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious condition. A third man at that location suffered a hand injury, possibly a gunshot wound.

A few blocks away, at 16th and Lafayette Road, another man was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. He told police he was the victim of an attempted robbery at 18th and Belleview.

At about the same time, a man reported to police he was shot at in an apparent robbery attempt at 16th and Georgetown. He was not injured.
Police are trying to determine if the incidents are related.
