May 19-21 Gunsite 160 Three Day Shotgun

160 is The Modern Technique as applied to the defensive shotgun. You will now be in command of one of the least-understood but most prolific weapons systems available. Effective out to and beyond 100 yards, the defensive shotgun’s flexibility and versatility demands a special set of manipulation skills, making it a “thinking person’s” weapon system.

In your 160 you develop the marksmanship and manipulation skills that will make you the master of this potent arm. Your ability to make ammunition selection, continuity of fire, malfunction clearances and transitions to the handgun will keep you in the fight. The defensive shotgun is a demanding weapon system, but extremely effective. In the home, on the road, or on duty, the Gunsite 160 defensive shotgun experience will provide you with the unique skills to be highly effective with this versatile tool.

The optic equipped handgun is not a new concept, though in the last decade technology has improved to allow for the Miniature Red Dot Sight (MRDS) to be reliably mounted to handguns intended for duty and general self-defense carry. With fundamental differences in techniques between the MRDS handgun and the rifle, instruction on the MRDS handgun presents unique problems for the instructor when introducing their students to proper skill development with their duty or carry MRDS handgun.

The RDS Handgun Instructor course is a culmination of years of MRDS handgun skill and technique development, made available to shortcut instructor trial/error on their own. This course will provide the trainer with a comprehensive understanding of common MRDS operations and science, as well as concepts and principles for teaching students to best use their MRDS duty or carry handgun. Students will be expected to meet minimum marksmanship requirements in order to complete this course.

    In the country, hopefully.
This farming thing is really getting in the way.

Already signed up for the Point 1 Tactics June 10.

The Dignitary Protection looked really interesting, always been fascinated by this kind of work. But 1. I’d just be a poser, 2. I’d definitely be accused of larping, and 3. His website says LEO or DoD only.
I’ll never be a dignitary, but I guess I’ll never be Dignitary protector either.

Thanks so much Jason for bringing this to the community!!

My June is already full or I would for sure be looking at that Point 1 class.

Lee Weems recently did a podcast with Steve Tarani. It was interesting. I had only thought of him as a knife/stick guy but that is not the case. He has a broad background.

The Tarani class isn't an LEO class. I will email him to confirm, but it shouldn't be.
