    I love ported barrels. Probably cause I dont own one lol. Lets see some ported pics. I guess compensated or muzzle brakes would do it for me to I have a few of those.

    Porting may be great on a range gun, but this pic shows an example of why I would never want one for carry. Can anyone say "night sight killer" :dunno:

    No pics, but I have a Taurus Raging Bull in .454 Casull that has a factory ported 8-3/8" barrel with a full lug.

    It's a lot of weight hanging out there, but the porting makes ALL the difference in the world when when you're talking follow-up shots.

    I've taken more than one deer with it, but it's not something I'd want to "carry".
