I've been thinking about getting a 3-9 or 4-12 VX-R for a 308. Who has the best prices? Is upgrading to the x50 worth the exrta money when compared to the x40?

The 50 is nice if you are hunting. Will gather more light and give you a larger field of view.

I have the 3x9 VXR Patrol on my M&P 10, used it on 3 deer this past season, the furtherest right at 230 yards. I too love this scope. I really like the fire dot and the auto on/off feature. It makes low light shots way easier.
