    Hey INGO,

Just curious to see if anyone has any experience with this red dot optic by Leupold? I bought it approximately a week ago and everything seems well built, though a bit heavy compared to other options. The price of $299 with the mount is around the quality to price ratio I like to be and I like the size and clarity of the dot but I wonder about its durability. Does anyone have a decent amount of range time with one of these? Any issues? Any praises? Any comments?

I'll be putting some rounds down range soon to get idea of what I had bought but there is very limited information about this optic on the ole interwebs. Not that it matters now since I already bought it.......

    Thanks everyone

Ordered one a while back. Nobody had any on shelves then.
    Yup, heavy.
Diode holder is not blacked out so shows in reflection around the dot.
Kinda does away with that 1 moa feature LOL.

It zeroed right in, and held zero. The auto shutoff works too.

I might send it back to be fixed.
Shoulda spent a little more and gotten an Aimpoint.

That deal, along w the Freedom VX 3-9X EFR having some distortion/haze around outside edge (possibly due to objective lens set so far inward).....

    Yeah not too impressed.

Have been running Leupold since the late 70's.

And most of em have been great, if tapping turrets while zeroing and set and forget is your thing (which mine is).
They look dynamite (VX1,2 or 3- or Vari X versions) on classic rifles.

Am thinking about going Euro glass from now on.
