Dollar General or Family Dollar, depending on your neighborhood...Where do I get the CCW badge though?
I'm surprised they didn't say the lifetime was going away hahahaOK, went to a USCCA class last week & was told Indiana no longer issues 5 year LTCH. Don't know when or why the changeover happened.
According to Indiana’s site, both 5 year and lifetime are still available.OK, went to a USCCA class last week & was told Indiana no longer issues 5 year LTCH. Don't know when or why the changeover happened.
Illinois CCW veries from county to county. In other words I would not feel safe carrying in Illinois. Best to keep it unloaded (for me) in the trunk with the magazine out. Out of reach.I haven't looked up Illinois law for a bit, does theirs still have the wording that you need a license "from your state" to be able to CC in your vehicle?
It's perfectly legal as long as you stay in your vehicle and are licensed in your state.Illinois CCW veries from county to county. In other words I would not feel safe carrying in Illinois. Best to keep it unloaded (for me) in the trunk with the magazine out. Out of reach.
Illinois sucks.
Illinois definitely sucks.Illinois CCW veries from county to county. In other words I would not feel safe carrying in Illinois. Best to keep it unloaded (for me) in the trunk with the magazine out. Out of reach.

I get that and appreciate that website but do all those with power know their own law? I can see it now, get pulled over and cop comes over and starts to snoop and asks you to step out. “Oh, wait officer, I need to take my gun off and put it away before I do that!” Or you step out thinking all is good and you realize you have your gun on you and try to explain to the officer that situation. It's perfectly legal as long as you stay in your vehicle and are licensed in your state.
Keep a printout of that subsection in your vehicle. Don't do your usual 9-14 over in Illinois... keep the cruise locked at 4 over and you'll be fine...I get that and appreciate that website but do all those with power know their own law? I understand the law but I do not want to try and convince a tired, close to the end of shift officer that I know the law. NOT ALL LEO’s are the same but we are talking about Illnois. ( I have utmost respect for anyone who is a cop, especially now days.)
Not a Printout but a FREE pamphlet at most of the Better Illinois gun retailers. If some cop wants to give you a bad day, I'm pretty sure they're not going to care about some piece of paper you've printed out.
Took 7 business days to change from paper to the card when requesting a dupilcate.Order a duplicate and it will be the hard card

Welp, I caved and did it. I travel through Illinois enough I might as well have matching addresses...Took 7 business days to change from paper to the card when requesting a dupilcate.
I know the feeling.Welp, I caved and did it. I travel through Illinois enough I might as well have matching addresses...
If I become a resident of a different state do you know if my Indiana resident license becomes void?Got my lifetime a while back..just about the time Indiana went constitutional carry (figures), but I like having a LTCH if, and when I travel to states with reciprocity (it took me 3 tries to spell that right) and I hope less informed LEO's might be less inclined to harass me, if I were pulled over, and carrying..
