I know there is a slough of options these days. I just canned the forever problem T12 fixtures. Bought and returned LED settled on T8 with electronic start.
The LED versions didn't cover the junction box hole in the ceiling and didn't cover the non painted spot where the old fixture was.
Two things I didn't account for when purchasing. New install wouldn't be a problem.
Darn Menards, Lowes, Home Depot is an hour each way. Taken me a week to replace four fixtures. Love the T8. Fire right up no buzzing or flickering.
