No purple needed. It's all about individualism, personal freedom, the degrading effect of government on personal happiness, and the superiority of the private contract.

Sadly they are old and black & white. I'd love to see Hollywood remake them IF they stuck to the original scripts.

In a city so corrupt that the citizens are perpetual victims of the government and the elite, the heros are turned into criminals, but operate according to their own severe moral code, meting out justice against the powerful.

Ferris Bueller

A song of the individual striving against the stifling oppression of unthinking authority.
