well not much gunsmithing, but i drilled out some aluminum holes and installed a GGandG picatinny rail on my free float aluminum tube so i could mount my tango down VLTOR bipod... its unique in that the legs can be stored to the rear but still be able to "load" the bipod while shooting... a bit more expensive than a harris but it beats having legs sticking out as far as the barrel... also plan on putting a pistol grip on it because now i cant shoot it offhand as the legs get in the way... but at least i have the rail mounted so i can attach the picatinny rail... still have to take it apart and duracoat the exposed aluminum so it wont corrode.... and then locktite my threads... not proffesional work by any means but i am really pleased with it.... the bipod is composit and didnt add much weight at all.
