He didn't shoot because the music was loud, he shot because the kids told him to f' off or maybe they threatened to kick his ass for saying something. He shot because of what was said to him.

How about just driving away? If he did feel threatened enough to shoot (kids displayed weapon or started to approach him, etc.), then why not stop immediately afterward and call the police? Drunk, stupid, arrogant, or all 3. Reflects really badly on the rest of us, and his lawyer isn't helping either.
