    I have a 12 gauge reloader. I really should make some popcorn shells to try out. Glad to hear the airsoft pellets are working.

    I'd go with a pellet gun or the CCI 22 shorts (29 grain) that are rated at 710 fps. I've chronographed those at around 700 from an 18 inch Henry rifle and in the 500fps range from a 5 inch single action revolver. Be careful though because they do tend to bounce.

    Popcorn kernels are meant to work quite well for this purpose. Never done it myself, but my wife's uncle told me about it and I thought it was an interesting idea.


    Oh, I bet that would work pretty good. My Grandpa was known for making up shot shells full of soybeans to pursued some animals to avoid his barn lot. Kind of a farm version of the rubber crowd control rounds.
