Just like the title says, I'm wondering if there is a local (Indianapolis and surrounding area) source for blade making steel. Looking to try my hand at making some blades out or 1095 or similar. Found some sources online, but the shipping is roughly the same cost as the material.
    TIA

I found a company up by Chicago that has 1095 flat stock 1/4 x 2 x 72, and 1/8 as well, but wanted to see if I can find the same here

might not be LOCAL but the pricing he has general is better ANYWAY, even with shipping. hit up the New Jersey Steel Baron, Aldo Bruno. he has the best pricing on steel. on almost EVERY item. and doesn't do a minimum order. and he is a great guy.
