Looking for a Decent Range

Hey all,

I just got a new job and I have to move. The good thing is I will have more time/money to devote to shooting once moved. The bad thing is I'm moving 2.5 hours away from home. So with that being said, I have no idea were anything is in my new town. The job is in Seymour (hour south of Indy) and I'll be living there as well. (although, I'm still looking for a place to live outside of town) Does anyone know of any good ranges in the area? I realize that I'll probably have to drive a while to find one, but I can handle that.

We have a range at Freetown 18 miles west of Seymour. South Central Gun Club, we shoot USPA on the first Sunday of each month , March thru December and a Steel match the second Saturday.

South Central Gun Club is probably your best bet. I have been there several times and their USPSA matches are fun (except for that Texas Star, it hates me).

What type of shooting are you interested in doing?

There's also a club in Columbus that does bullseye in the winter months and misc outdoor events in the summer.

Thanks for the info guys. I really want to run some handgun courses of fire. A couple of years ago I shot with a group of guys that did IDPA shoots. I enjoyed that but I mainly just want to run a course from time to time. I'm interested in some long range shooting as well. I've never really done that and I've always wanted to.
