We have two ranges on our property and one is relatively close (400 yards) in proximity to an elementary school (behind us obviously) and though it or any of the surrounding buildings would in no way be in any sort of danger, I fear there must be some regulation stating the minimum distance to discharge a firearm from school grounds.

All I could find specificly are carry laws, and a Ohio regulation that states at least 1000 ft (333 yards)

Does anyone know and can state a SPECIFIC regulation that lists the distance? If there is any?

Nope. Don't know of any regulations like that. Not to say that a county or municipality doesn't have one, but you'd have to consult their regulations. I've never heard of a state law or such regarding distance from a school. That's usually a local rule. I don't even think the DNR would have one.

I'm assuming you're outside the city limits...most cities have a no discharge of firearms ordinance. Other than that.....
