I'm trying to update my Christmas list...
I was in a store the other day and I saw this little unit for $35 bucks that has a solar panel on the top of it, a crank on the side, has a light, weatherband radio, AM/FM radio, and a cell phone charger. Well as I looked at it closer, I found out you had to get the company to send you the special adapter cord to charge your specific phone. Granted they would send you one free...but you know that 2 years for a single phone is doing pretty good. So it got me to thinking...is there somthing out there like this that is extremely portable and has the ablility to charge small electronic devices? The idea seems like a pretty good idea. The other thing i should mention is another one that was similar had a port for a USB which i could use with both my phone and GPS. However it did not have the option of handcrank.
