Spasmo sent me this link. I thought it was pretty cool. It's not a buck and a quarter cool, especially since I already have a Bach 3C, but pretty cool nonetheless.

For anyone who wants to buy it for him though for his birthday, go right ahead but put my name on it. :) His birthday is on the 25th. I still haven't bought him anything yet. :)

Do they make that in a 3D? I prefer the tone in the higher register of the 3D over the 3C. A 1B would also be nice for warmer tone since I have "robust lips"

    Trumpet players rock!

The place that it comes from does custom engraving, so my guess is that either this is a one-off or a limited run. That said, since they do engraving, I bet they could do it on any size mouthpiece you wanted.

    I usually use a 3C or a 7C.

I'm guessing the total cost to produce that mouthpiece is around $25. $5 in materials, $5 in gold plating, and $15 to pay the cnc operator to type it in and align the stuff...Could prolly get Bob Reeves to do that for you.

I'd get it for him but I'm sending over an 18 year old...he said he wants one pretty bad. Something about painting the house. Don't worry, won't need a whole crew. Kid has a strong back and isn't afraid of hard work.
