A friend's Dad passed away and they are applying to transfer the 2 NFA
weapons he had to the wife. They found one set and one app for the second. I know
they are both papered. I told him to have his Mom call ATF and give them all the info on the second and ask for a new Forum 4. Anything else or way to get a copy? Thank you

Do you even need the old paperwork? If you know for a fact that they're registered then all you need is the manufacturer/serial # info.

CountryBoy19 is correct. If you know the info from the gun you can do the Form 5 without the original.

Short of that it will probably take an estate attorney to get the "tax" information released. ATF doesn't even have say on this, it is actually a federal judge that has a hearing and makes the determination about releasing the info.
