    Stipulations on FTF sales:
You must have an LTCH, a valid IN DL and be willing to sign a bill of sale.

I am in Bloomington, Indiana. I am willing to travel to Martinsville to make a meet.

Let me know if you are interested.

Why does one need a LTCH to buy a long gun? I'm not a LTCH holder, like the VAST majority of gun owners in Indiana, but you won't sell me a rifle because I don't have a LTCH?

I understand not wanting to sell a weapon to a felon, but a valid driver's license, along with a well written bill of sale, will more than shield you from any liability.

I am looking for better overall protections but am willing to drop the requirement for people who have positive classifieds feedback on this forum or have a real presence here (i.e. you have plenty of posts and are known).

If you are actually interested in the rifle, drop me a PM, we can work things out.

If you are not interested, but want to discuss it as a political/personal thing, then open a thread in a discussions forum.

I have edited the sale listing.

I certainly understand your feelings. Let me check my finances and I'll get back with you.

For what it's worth, I would not sell (or buy) a firearm to someone I don't know without some kind of evidence that they are not barred by law from owning a gun. The Indiana License to Carry Handgun with a Driver's License to match it is adequate evidence for me, which would be the only reason I'd want to see them.

Anyone who doesn't have a LTCH is making their own choice, but I'm not going to do business with them. Other methods of verifying criminal and mental health status are not viable for a private transaction in my opinion.

Thanks for moving the messages. I was hesitant to post mine because it was a "for sale" topic, but I thought it needed to be said.
