I wonder if the word is spreading in Thugland that more and more of us are arming ourselves or are they oblivious to stuff like that?

It's not that they're oblivous. Truly violent criminals just don't care. Plus they know that the chances are still in their favor that their target won't give them a fight.

I find it convenient that the Thugs robbed people in a complex so near the hospital...

Convenient or by sesign. I'd sure hope the bad guys aren't getting smart enough to rob close to hospitals.
That just means more range time for lawful gun owners if that's the case.
