    I have an assisted OTF that you def don't want to try to stop with the force of your hand!:D

    You have no idea what I can stop with the force of my hand. :D
    Because you cant do it doesnt mean I couldnt do it. ;)
    My hands have to be registered as lethal weapons in more than 30 states.

    It isn't just illegal to OWN or CARRY, but to POSSES, meaning if someone hands it to you and says "here, check this out", you are in possession and committing a class D felony.

    I had know idea, what a crazy law. :rolleyes:
    Thanks for the warning anyway. :yesway:
    I will make sure I dont bring my OTF knife on the plane with me when I go to Indiana.
    I will just have my "non-dangerous" large fixed blade like usual, they cut better than my OTF knife anyway. :D

    It's not just Indiana, there are only like 2 or 3 states that allow them. I buy mine in Georgia:) Gotta love the south.

    ETA:
    Scratch that, I stand corrected. Here is a link to Wiki with more info. Switchblade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Thanks, just to be on the safe side I will not bring this very dangerous weapon in the US next time I come.I guess I will just have to carry a handgun when im in Indiana and other various weapons that I bought there.

    Those wankers in the legislature simply don't know what they're talking about.

    But that's nothing new.

    I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a felony. :dunno:

    The law I posted above says it's a B misdemeanor.

    Is there also a law against chinese throwing stars? :dunno:
    Not that it would be a problem for me ...

    :mallninja: <---Mine are japanese throwing stars. :D

    IC 35-47-5-12
    "Chinese throwing star" defined; related offenses
    Sec. 12. (a) A person who:
    (1) manufactures;
    (2) causes to be manufactured;
    (3) imports into Indiana;
    (4) keeps for sale;
    (5) offers or exposes for sale; or
    (6) gives, lends, or possesses;
    a Chinese throwing star commits a Class C misdemeanor.
    (b) As used in this section, "Chinese throwing star" means a throwing-knife, throwing-iron, or other knife-like weapon with blades set at different angles.

    If your "Japanese" throwing stars have blades at different angles then they're still illegal...if you possess them in IN.

    I think just using the "mall ninja" smilie in your post above is a violation of the law. That's how dangerous they are. :)

    Im pretty sure you can find places who sale stars like that in Indiana.
    I had no idea this was illegal too.
    Wow the blade laws are worse than in the UK and yet you can carry loaded firerarms with no problem.Makes you wonder ... :rolleyes:

    I think its just a conspiracy against ninjas. :n00b:
    I guess I will have to find a new job. :dunno:

    If they really mean to enforce any of these knife laws, they only need to go to a few flea markets and the jails will all be full.

    Is there anyone who was ever busted for having an auto knife in Indiana?
    I would be curious if a police officer would even enforce this stupid law if he finds someone with such a knife.

    Do you think I should not worry about it or could I get in trouble if I bring an automatic knife into the state?

    You are right I have seen those knives for sale in flea markets in Indiana, I dont think that if the US customs ever find one in my bag at the airport that say will do something about it knowing that you can buy them so easily in the state.

    I'm sure there have been.

    Maybe not but many wouldn't enforce (or even know) the law against carrying even an unloaded handgun in the trunk, either. That doesn't mean their isn't at least some of them that would, though.

    Do you think I should not worry about it

    :dunno: That all depends on what your level of risk tolerance is.

    or could I get in trouble if I bring an automatic knife into the state?

    Yes. It's illegal. You could get into trouble.
