LTCH question

So here is my deal, about 8 years ago I was arrested for a DUI, not my finest moment. I completed my probation and it is the only blemish against me. My question is, is my transgression going to hinder my ability to get a permit? I'm hoping it won't cause me any issues. Does anybody have any info about this or experience with this? Not to pry into people's backgrounds, I am just looking for some guidance. Thanks in advance.

One non-felony DUI conviction 10 years ago will not prevent you from obtaining a LTCH. Not disclosing it on the application might, however.

IANAL but a DUI that was 10 years ago shouldn't matter.

I was not even thinking about not disclosing it. I fully claim responsibility of my poor judgement and thankfully that event started a chain of events that eventually allowed me to take back my life. I've been dragging my feet on putting my paperwork in because of it.

My father-in-law has a DUI. It was years back. He got his LTCH.

IN LTCH is about felony convictions...not non-felony convictions. Talk to the officer where you fill out your paperwork. Mentioning it should not get you bumped out...not mentioning it may?
