Is anyone else experiencing a long wait to receive your LTCH permit? My wife sent hers in almost 3 months ago. Still nothing.

I was in a PD last week doing some training and the traffic was non-stop for LTC. I gave the girl at the window a hard time, she kept calling it a permit. By the end of the day I had her saying license. :-)

The New Haven PD told me that it's taking up to 6 months for some people. My LTCH expires in 6 months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

as long as you apply before your old lone expires, your application for your new ltch counts AS your ltch in the interim.

Here's the IC on that for those who are interested:
"IC 35-47-2-6 Granting or rejecting initial application; renewals
    Sec. 6. ...
    (b) The period during which an application for the renewal of an existing license may be filed begins three hundred sixty-five (365) days before the expiration of the existing license. If the application for renewal of an existing license is filed within thirty (30) days of its expiration, the existing license is automatically extended until the application for renewal is passed upon."

Suggestion - Carry a copy of your app receipts with you.

My wife and I ordered ours just before moving out of an apartment building. I don't remember how long they told us the permits would take, but they took the exact maximum length of time. I went back to the building to check the mail one last time before turning in the key, and it was there just as promised.
