LTCH Renewal

Current 4 year holder with less than 365 days to expiration, wish to upgrade to lifetime. Will I have to be fingerprinted again or will the ones on file suffice? Is it like starting at square one or is a renewal streamlined? Also, does the state send any notification of impending expiration?

I had to get re-finger printed a couple years ago when I upgraded to a lifetime LTCH.

Yes, new prints are required. It's like starting from scratch. No, no renewal notice sent.

They will take your prints, that is at least what they did when I upgraded.

In the almost 30 years I've had a permit,I've been fingerprinted every time I renew.

Absent a Vermont or Alaska approach, lifetime is the only way to go.
