Lunch on the west side of South Bend /crack head

So my GF stops by work and we go grab a bite for lunch and stop at Wendys on Lincoln way. So we are sitting there and look out and see some crack head with his shirt off walking across the street shooting cars with his hands.
So we watched as cars slowed to get past him and he walked into the lot of Wendys still shooting cars as he goes by. There were 4 people in Wendys and we were all watching and waiting for this guy to make a move into the place.

I was not carrying, but was in my car, I know doesnt do me any good.

So we watch crack head go through the drive through shooting people and looking into cars for something to steal and I told her dont worry about it unless he comes in, just typical SB crap when the weather is nice. She then asks if i had my pistol on me and I say no, but if that situation came up and I was not armed she should know what to do. We discussed the scenario a little and she even suggested we plan that out better just in case.

Lesson leaned, when going to lunch on the west side of town remember to carry!

lived in michigan city for 13 yrs. great town loved going to south bend and fish the in the river and my sons loved to watch the salmon jump up the ladders. but that has changed over the years. drugs,drugs and more drugs. though about moving back last year but my family and friends up north told me to stay in indy it was much safer.
