    Reloads FTW!

Spent a little time at the range today (New Development: have to pay the Brass Dawg now! "Cash for Casings", as it were...)
Discovered a little something about my pet loads...
    I lurve them.
I lurve them so hard I want to marry them and have, like, ten thousand of their babies.

    Here's the scoop from 30ft;

Left; 50 Match. Middle; 50 Match WadCutter. Right; 50 of my Reloads.
    Yeah, buddy...

    Important question:

In what order did you shoot the plates? Right to Left, or Left to Right? ;-)

Wow, that is a very noticeable difference. There is nothing like reloads. I can't wait to finally get started.

I'm still trying to gather components and get a table built. Every time I see JetGirl's products, I get pumped up.

Twenty five bucks will get you a Work bench. Plywood for the top and a couple holes drilled for your press and powder measure and you're all set. Build something more permanent at your leisure...but you could be reloading at present.

    $37(ish) for 1000 primers
    $125 for 1000 RN jacketed .45
    $26(ish) for 1# powder
    Brass that you already have.

    There's $188 for your first 1000 loads. That's roughly $9.50 per box of 50.
    Do eeet nao!

    You know it was!! :D

A mix of Rainier and Berry bullets (.452) 230 grain plated round nose.
    Hodgdon Clays 4.0 grains
    Primers by CCI and Winchester
    Brass- scrounged. :D

Spent last evening loading (4) different loads to try tomorrow. For the Clays with the 230 gr plated I loaded 25 each at 3.9 and 4.2 gr due to that was the increment that my Lee auto disc offers. If I don't see the accuracy I want, I'll blame it on the Lee measure ! :D

BTW, I don't know what is more impressive about your pic... The dialing in of the load, or the shooting ! Great job !

Thanks! We should get the fams together to plink sometime!

I know Mrs would love that ! She was hounding me last night to hurry and get off the press so she could work up a couple loads for herself... Now that the press is open, I bet before evening she will have a couple loads to try tomorrow too.

I wish I had the time and space to reload, but I don't. My reloading these days consists of getting a fresh mag to the gun, dropping the old one out to the ground, inserting new mag, giving a nice tap, and then sling shot the slide to home.
