I got out and shot a few different rds today in my Areo Precision 308.

I grabbed 5rds of the M118LR 175gr and tried them out.

0.892" 5 shot group at 50 yards. So if you double that at 100 yards its shooting 1.784" that's almost 2 MOA. Not exactly that great.

I'll get my Ruger Precision 308 and see how that does sometime.

I'm also going to try the accuracy tips to see if it improves accuracy.
Doubling the 50 yard group really is not a realistic determination as to how the ammo will do at 100 yards.

So its possible to shoot the same size group at 100? Or close to it? I admit I got lazy yesterday had to much to get done but wanted to see how well they did. I'll have to go to my 100 yard spot and Check again.

Yep, to see how it shoots at 100 yards, you'll have to shoot it at that distance. Another thing to consider is that that ammo was developed to shoot in specific guns, so it might not shoot as well in your gun. Another factor is that there have been many variations of the M118LR cartridge. https://www.snipercentral.com/history-m118-ammunition/
