I haven't decided on the mission, quite yet, for this newly acquired tool, but would still like to see what INGO is running on the factory forward mount.

Depends if you want magnification or not. As far as red dots, can't beat an Aimpoint Micro. Magnification, I really liked my Leupold FX-II Scout Scope on mine.

This. I had the Leupold scout scope on mine and loved it. Should have never sold it.

Dang it, this thread just reminds me how badly I want a Scout. I was close to taking my M1A into the last 1500 to look for a trade.

i concur. Bought today a SPARC II from TIMS in Westfieeld for $199. Also bought a GG&G M1A Scout Scope Mount (very slick piece). Pictures to follow later this week.
