I have a MOE stock on a Palmetto receiver extension (buffer tube) and it's a nice, tight fit. I might have gotten lucky, who knows. All I know is that the MOE stock, IME, is a tighter fit than a plain CAR stock. I will agree that the CTR is a tighter fit; tighter than a MOE. The tightest, nicest fitting stocks I've ever used are the LMT SOPMOD and the B5 SOPMOD.
