If she's connected via the home's or businesses' wifi or you are, you can still operate. My wife wasn't seeing a problem either because her phone is still connected to our home's wifi.

Co-worker here has Verizon and is fine. I have PureTalk (uses AT&T towers) and I have no service. Appears to be a bit spotty...

This is going on for quite awhile. I'm betting either a software upgrade went hey-wire or some sort of hack they're having a hard time untangling. I'm not seeing any helpful news on the cause yet.
