My neighbor was attacked by her own cat last year. Had a trail a blood all the way to my house. Thirteen stitches and cost her about 4 grand by the time she got done with therapy for her hand. Cats can mean little buggers.

While growing up, we used to have big Tom cats come around the farm from time to time and mess with our other cats, so we'd just shoot them. I blasted one with a .410 shot shell one time and it knocked him rolling....only to have him get back up and come at me again! I popped him again and he went down, got up and ran off. He died out back of the barn...but still! Tough ole bugger...scary!
