    I call BS. What about a water supply?

    Would depend on how much rain he saw and how much water he was able to collect when it did. And then there is the turtle blood. Would need an awful lot of turtles though.

    I'm inclined to agree with you and call BS on this story. :bs: It just seems a bit too far out there. But, stranger things have happened.

    As far as drinking the turtle blood, when i was at the mountain warfare school for the usmc, the instructors said blood is treated like a solid by our stomachs because of all the proteins and other cells and things in it, as well as curdling/coagulation that stomach acids might cause. So i don't think it would help keep your tissues hydrated, but it could be consumed for the nutrients. Please consider the source, usmc aint known for scholarly pursuits, but it made sense to me at the time.

    I agree that 16 months seems implausible but who knows? Maybe he also went a little bit bonkers and doesn't really know how long he was out there.
