At least it want what I pictured in my mind when I read 10" pistol. I was thinking along the lines or a Ruger Redhawk or a Smith 29 with a 10" barrel.

As a little enlightenment to the situation, Onslow county North Carolina is home to Camp Lejune, and if the jailers havent changed much in the last few years, they arent known to be the most throughout people in the country. I picked up a buddy there for a DUI once, and they never made him empty his pockets when they put him in the tank to wait for someone to pick him up.

So glad I saw this was from N.C. because at first I thought it might have been about that bad weekend I had a few years back. Met a guy at the range for a sale and he didn't like the condition so the revolver got safely stowed away (by him) not long before I had a run in with the law.
