    The leading edge is just now hitting us here in west Indy... thunderstorms and high winds. The Skywarn people are saying this system is mainly producing straight-line winds rather than tornadoes, and it seems to be moving through pretty quickly. Here's hoping for the best!

    I was sitting in the living room when the weather alert came on and said 65-mph winds were hitting the west side of Indy, so I'm now sitting in the basement and mucking about with my (unloaded) guns. Oh, and posting this.

    That "squall line" ended up being a total non-event; even while the map said the dark red stuff was right on top of us, it was barely raining outside. My 5-year-old slept through it, and his room has a west-facing window so even moderate storms usually wake him up.

    Prayers out to those who didn't get by so easily tonight.

    We have some trees down but so far thats it. They were big walnut trees that have been here longer than me but now its going to be firewood for this winter I guess. Thank God noone got hurt! Hope all of the INGO family out there is ok!
