    Afghanistan when I can.
I am surely going to get some sort of negative comments about this, but screw it.

I came home from a deployment a few years and my neighbor had rented out their home to a half dozen Mexicans, my guess is legal for one and the rest were piggy-backs. Well, I pulled up in my truck in front of my house and noticed a flag above the red white and blue and it was a flag of Mexico.

I was quite irritated by this, ok I was livid. I went to my garage, grabbed a large piece of rope and tied one end to the tow hook on my truck. I walked around the flag pole and brought it back to the truck and tied it off, I got in my truck and yanked down this flag pole. I left the Mexico flag laying there, but I cut loose the US flag and secured it in a box in my basement. I still have that flag and last I checked... They haven't fixed that flag pole.

As a farmer Marine myself I say hoist Old Glory up anyway! If they arrest him, it'll be dropped. Whose gonna arrest a Marine for flying his flag?
    Socialism at its finest

New York arrested a Serviceman for having empty AR magazines in his trunk. I figure the goverment that wrote that law is flawed and needs replaced, and the copper that made that arrest needs to examine his soul, integrity and patriotism.

I agree that this should not require a a building permit and we have too many absurd regulations.

BUT, the city isn't telling him he can't fly the flag. They're telling him he can't put up a pole without a permit. There is a difference.

Hey, you cheated. You read the article.
