    Hi I was wondering if anybody could give me any info. I found a Marlin 30/30 - Model 30AS for sale and I am thinking about getting it.

    Beyond general info found on Marlin's website, etc, is there specific info you are wanting? The 30AS is effectively the economy version of the 336 I think.

    the only thing i dont like about mine is it has a saftey and a hammer. to me it only needs one or the other. mine is a 30aw im not sure what the diffrence is

    The plain jane Marlin 30/30 is still a fine shooting rifle. If you like it and the price is right, don't be afraid of getting it. A dead coyote looks the same from a birch stock or a Walnut stock.
