It seems to me that words typed on INGO by a member were once used against him in a court of law by another member.

Just sayin' people might be better served by discretion than disclosure.

Let me get a link to that action.

I have a guess but am not sure about the situation in question; However, I do remember a time when an INGO member was stopped by the police over something he posted on INGO. As it were, he was deliberately trolling the police and posted that he was going to ride his bicycle to a friend's house OCing an AK47 (when he doesn't even own one) and was stopped and searched, and found unarmed. Results are still not in on the lawsuit regarding police action against this individual in a previous encounter.

Works the opposite way too. Some INGO members contact members of that officer's PD because they don't agree with certain opinions. Resulting in "unofficial" conversations.

You beat me to the response. I'm 54 years old and the vast majority of the friends I have older than me smoke reefer. Some are like Cheech or Chong. But they are all successful, make or made good money, raised families and some run/ran businesses.

It's always been my observation that the 55-65 crowd right now are the heaviest pot smokers. Then it tails off as you get to younger ages until it picks back up again with the 35 and unders.

As a little background, I went to the University of WI-Madison in the early 80s. Pot was decriminalized while I was in school. That meant that anything up to an OZ was a $5 ticket and they confiscated the bag. I couldn't tell you how many pot plants I could see on my bike ride into campus. Probably every 3rd or 4th house had a plant growing for personal consumption or just to look cool. I don't think most of the people had any idea how to actually prepare the dope for smoking.

But they smoked dope in Madtown back then and nobody really cared. People would smoke openly all over town. Never heard of any problems other than the guy with the same name as me, lived two doors away who was dealing. Cops came to my place and talked to my wife. They didn't know which one of us was the perp!

I guess they didn't care about the big pot plant growing in my window.

I know now a LOT of EXTREMELY successful pot smokers. You’d never know because they’re smart and keep it under wraps. You’d **** your pants if you knew how many people (successful and not) smoke weed. Your statement is ignorant at the fullest extent.

Its .gov marketing that’s making you think pot smokers are a bunch of lazy bums. It’s simply not true. There’s lazy bums in all categories (alcohol drinkers, coffee drinkers, etc...). The difference is, the .gov hasn’t spent trillions trying to brain wash you into thinking alcohol drinkers are lazy bums.

Like always, vices will run some peoples lives.....most people don’t fall into that category though. And it’s no reason to make something illegal and to take away other peoples freedom.

Any news outlet? Public record? He is talking about the fact that multiple states have already legalized.

But they haven't legalized it anywhere in the US...they may be decriminalizing it but it isn't legal since it is ILLEGAL by federal code. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING keeping the DEA from walking in to a Colorado or California weed store and arresting everyone, seizing every bit of cash and dope, and sending them all to prison. This is a big business, involving a lot of nice untraceable cash...how long before the federal revenue agents come swooping in to exercise their asset forfeiture powers?
